Thoughts that seem to be obvious but most people never think of them!
I was watching the news lastnight and they were talking about how the prices of gas have and will continue to climb. I then started thinking about how much I had just paid for a 20oz. bottle of water! Now, a bottle of water can sell for what, a dollar!? Well yeah but thats only a 20 oz., think if gas was a dollar for 20 oz., we would all be screwed! So why are we so concerned about gas prices rising when the price of a bottle of water is so much more in comparison! And of course buying a bottle of water is not a necessity the same way gas is. We can very easily just get some water from the sink. In my opinion it helps to put in perspective how expensive the things we don't even think about are. Gas is something we need and will always need, but there are more expensive things out there burning holes in our wallets! Do you agree?

Sorry for the late reply....I'm just catching up after a busy weekend....
The price of oil compared to the price of water or even orange juice is one of those strange things that end up with us realising the market must be artificially manipulated, otherwise it just does not make sense. You say:
Gas is something we need and will always need

But I do not think so. Toyota already have a car out there in the marketplace that runs on a combination of electricity and gas. I think the powerful oil companies are resisting the day when alternative fuels take over but take over they will, it is inevitable.

No argument there! You do have a point! It will be a wonderful day when all cars are made to run without gas! That is many many years to come if at all!! Good point!
